Registering for the SAT

• Go to sat.collegeboard.org/home
• In order to register, you will need to create a free account by selecting “Register Now”
• This will then direct you to create an account through “Sign Up.” Be sure to write down your account information for the future. You will need to log back in to your account to send your scores to colleges
• After you sign up, the site will redirect you back to the SAT Registration page where you will want to select the SAT date and location best for you

Registering for the ACT

• Go to act.org
• Click on the “Registration” tab, which is located at the top of the page
• In the first paragraph, you will see a link to “Online Registration”
• You will be asked to create an account if you do not already have one. Be sure to remember your login information for the future. You will need to log back in to your account to send your scores to colleges
• After you create your account and login, you will want to select a test date and testing center to register

Subject Tests are taken at the discretion of the student. They are one hour-long, content-based tests that allow you to showcase achievement in specific subject areas where you excel. You can take up to THREE tests at a time. In conjunction with your other admission credentials (high school transcript, SAT/ACT Scores, teacher recommendations, etc.), they provide a more complete picture of your academic background and interests. When finalizing your list of colleges, be sure to check and see if the colleges you are applying to require you to take any Subject Tests.

How to send your SAT scores?

• Sign in to My SAT at collegeboard.org
• Click the "Send Available Scores" button
• Search by name, state, code or country for the institution(s) you'd like send your scores to
• Select the option on the "Review Your Order" screen. You will need a credit card to pay for your order. If you qualified for a fee waiver for the SAT you will be allowed to send four reports for free, additional reports are $12.00 a report

• Go to actstudent.org and log in to your account
• Click the "Send Test Scores" button
• Search by name, state, code or country for the institution(s) you'd like send your scores to
• Select the option on the "Review Your Order" screen. You will need a credit card to pay for your order
