Open Houses
Students and their families are invited to attend one of Immaculate's Open Houses each year.
The Fall Open House, for 8th grade students and their families, will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2007, from 1:00 - 3:00pm.
The Winter Open Houses, which is for students in the 6th, 7th and 8th grades, will be held on Sunday, January 27, 2008, from 1:00 - 3:00pm and Thursday, January 31, 2008 from 5:00 – 7:00pm.
Student for a Day Program
Eighth graders can participate in Immaculate’s Student for a Day Program, which runs from Monday, September 24, 2007 through Friday, April 26, 2008. The program allows students to spend a full day at the school, attending classes and eating lunch, escorted by a student ambassador. Tours
Private tours of the campus, conducted on a regular day of classes during the academic year, are also available; however, they must be scheduled in advance with the Director of Admissions. Applying to Immaculate
Admission to Immaculate Conception High School is open to young men and women of
any background who fulfill our academic requirements. Eighth grade students who
wish to attend Immaculate for their freshman year must complete the following:
The COOP entrance exam (or SSAT or equivalent), administered by the Archdiocese
of Newark and the Diocese of Paterson.
The COOP exam will be administered at selected test sites within the Archdiocese
of Newark and the Diocese of Paterson on Friday, November 9, 2007.If the COOP
exam is not offered in the student's diocese or area, call Ms. Sarah Moje at
(973) 744-7445 ext.24.
An applicant should take the test at a site that is most convenient for him or
her. Registration for the exam runs from early September through mid-October.
Potential applicants should contact the Admissions Office, their parish, their
Catholic grammar school (if applicable), their Diocesan education office or
McGraw Hill at 800-569-2667 to receive a test application and handbook. For more

An official transcript from the student’s current school that includes his
grades from the 6th, 7th and 8th grades.
An Immaculate application form, available here in pdf format, is also available
from the Admissions Office. (Note: Application forms do not need to be completed
by students who sat for the COOP Exam in November and placed Immaculate as one
of their choices – this counts as an application.)
An official letter of recommendation from a teacher, guidance counselor or
other school official.

taken and the student seeks admission to Immaculate, he or she should contact
the Office of Admissions for late application procedures and testing details.
Admission decision letters for the Class of 2012 will be mailed on Thursday,
January 17, 2008.
Transfer students
Transfer students are also considered for admission based upon their performance at their current schools, standardized test scores, courses completed prior to applying to Immaculate and a completed application. Interested students should submit completed applications for review along with copies of their transcripts, copies of standardized test scores and a letter of recommendation from their current school.
Tuition and Fees
Tuition for the 2007–2008 school year is $7,200. This fee includes: books, technology, retreats, student workshops and guest speakers. Various payment plans are available. New students pay a non-refundable registration fee of $150.
The tuition and fee schedule for the 2008–2009 academic year will be announced in the spring of 2008.
Student/Partner Alliance
Immaculate is proud to offer various scholarships opportunities to the incoming freshmen. The Caritas Scholarship program offers automatic partial four year scholarships for valedictorians and salutatorians. Additionally, a competitive exam is offered yearly for the Caritas Full Scholarship. The Caritas Scholarship exam will be offered on Saturday, December 1, 2007 from 8:30am to 11:30am. Applications for the Caritas Exam can be downloaded here.
Immaculate also participates in the Student Partnership Alliance Program, The Inner City Scholarship Fund, as well as offering Need Based Financial Aid (PSAS FORM). Applications for these programs are available on registration day in February.
Registration
Registration for the Class of 2012 will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2008 from 9:00a.m. until 12:00p.m.. No appointments are necessary for accepted students. There is a $150 non-refundable registration fee which must be paid in full to ensure a spot in the class. Half of the first month’s tuition is also collected at the time of registration.
Note: Financial aid applications must be received by February 15, 2007 prior to the beginning of the following school year. Applications for financial aid are available at registration in February.
